The Colour of Saying

An experimental collaboration with musician, song-writer and friend Richard James (Gorky`s Zygotic Mynci), an open-ended process made on a series of visits to the sites where Dylan Thomas spent his formative years.

We walked and camped and talked - with a microphone and a camera. The project was never going to be a biographic or literary narrative film, it found its path as we did. Experts were consulted, book after book read, surviving family and friends and pub experts freely shared their views as the places that shaped the words that formed the poems began to filter into the project.
